Tutorial - Heart Couple Double diamond card

hey peeps,

I am so excited to share this card ..and this is my first one for wedding! The tutorial for double diamond card is here.I did a smaller version of it - to fit the couple. Yes,I am on a diamond spree now .(Hint:some more diamond cards to follow..:))

Sentiment is from Making memories wedding set. Rest from the stash.
Ash and Tejal are gonna limit the number of entries for a challenge after this...am sure!

one more card for ICRC9 -Celebrate!
Phindy's Place- Make your own embellishment

Today's Tip

Today I will teach you how to make the heart couple. It is super easy!

Cut or punch a heart shape in black.Cut the heart in middle for abt half an inch.Fold on either side of center cut as shown.

Now cut a v shape on the 2 folds.Using an empty ball pen, draw a center straight line till the end.Now place a tie and triangle piece of white card stock behind the black heart. If you make the coat in shades of grey, you can sponge it with black ink, around the collar.

For the lady, cut v shape from the heart, as shown in fig.

now with empty ball pen, draw lines showing the breasts and folds in dress. With color pencils, shade the lower portion of the breast and the folds in dress..the coloring does not show clearly here..Place another skin color heart behind.Lightly sponge it with red color and you can decorate it as you wish!!

I will be out of town, for 5 days.. but have scheduled posts..so keep visiting :) I am off to visit my mom n dad! :)))

ET's addition to the tip: Mist the paper before embossing and the design would be much more prominent and you wont have to put too much pressure. Thanks ET!

Tutorial- Heart flowers diamond top card

hello,

I had been trying to post for past 3 days... but something or other keeps me from blogging.. so...here we go... This is another Diamond top Card I made , after this. The instructions for making this card is here.

I made this flower sometime back and it was sitting idle in a box...Found this apt for the top diamond.. I then cut strips in Echo Park papers and placed them diagonally.viola!! I love how the card turned out!!!

This card goes out for the following challenges
ICRC9- celebrate.
Lilypad- sketch for the top...(hope they accept this entry!!)
Phindy's place- make your own embellishment
Paper creations ink-show us your flowers

Please do comment to tell me you like it or not!.

Today's Tip:

I am gonna teach you how to make the above flower.. It looks beautiful on cards and what more? it is easy!! You can do this in big and small sizes(depends upon the size of heart)You can see a smaller version of this flower in this card.

All the hearts in the flower are hand cut.. just fold the heart in half..

Tuck one heart inside other as shown in the figure. Before that, apply glue on one side of heart..(except the first one,coz we need to tuck it inside the last one)

Now, you need to be really quick in doing this. The last heart might not have enough space or more space(the bg would show).. adjust the other petals, so that make room for the last petal-- before the glue dries.Tuck first petal inside last. cover the center with another flower or button or as you wish!..

I am getting good response to the tutorials.. Thanks girls .. I love making tutorials for you too...Thanks for visiting..

I just made sunflower with scallop circle punch.. the inside circle is hand cut...inked up the edges..Since I wanted to participate in Melissa's challenge in Yvonne's blog and Ellephantastic, I layered some echo park and papermania papers and arranged the flowers over it!
Ribbon, pearls and button from stash.the sentiment is from cloud9 wedding set.Ah yes!!the self adhesive rhinestone is from PieLane!..

And look at the bee.. i added glitters to its wings...a close up

Today's Tip

Use you scallop punch to make a pram!!

Cut out 3 scallops from a scallop circle and for the laces, punch as shown in the 2 photo.. For handle punch using the swirl punch.. the wheels can be cut or punched with circle punch.. a flower inside and a pearl on it.. ur pram is good to use on card.. will show card soon using this :)

Review - Magnetic Multi Shaper Punch

Hi all,

I thought it would be a good idea to write a review on one of my new purchases-- Magnetic Multishaper punch from Blue Hills Studio(This link has a video tutorial and all the available designs). I bought the model Baby's breath from Joann.

I was skeptical abt this punch at first...coz it was too good to beleive!!With so much of thoughts, finally I decided to buy it.My punch took its debut in these cards.Though it is too early to say,I feel, I am totally happy with it coz it could be used for cards, scrapbooks, borders, journaling, stamping!..etc. Here is how it looks like.

When it reached me, there were no instructions with it.. and I thought I will have to browse through the net for instructions..But to my surprise I was able to create cirlces and ovals without reading any instructions!! It was so easy..We need to insert the paper at right position and the magnets clasp together perfectly, allowing you punch precisely.wow!!And the best thing is, you need not precut circle or oval and create designs over them...any rectangle paper would do.

Yet I find it difficult to cut thick papers.. Pattern paper and papers less than 150gsm are ok. 200gsm, need to press with difficulty and much pressure. Above 200 gsm, I think it is impossible to cut..

These are what my punch is supposed to do
and I could do all !!...If planned correctly, I think,I could use it to punch around the page too..

Finally,
Pros: One Punch does it all, value buy, easy to use, beautiful crisp intricate deisgns, needs no precut circle or oval.
Cons:Does nt cut through thick papers.

Updated:

Here is some more I could do with it.

Now you ppl tell me,
if this review was useful?
Would you like more reviews like this in future?
should I elaborate more on something?

Pls don hesitate to comment or mail me if u have any doubts..I will be happy to answer.
